All resources and blessings I have, including the gift of knowing Jesus and receiving Him as Lord of my life since my younger times, come from God. To live out the Great Commission, I cannot simply remain in the comfort of my own secure life; I am called to step out and share the spiritual blessings I have received from Jesus.
Cambodia is a predominantly Buddhist nation with less than 5% of Christians. Unlike other well-developed countries with diverse cultures and religions, Cambodians have less access to Christianity and the biblical truth. On this mission trip, we will meet university students who are at the life stage of seeking truth and direction. In a world flooded with overwhelming voices from social media and AI, these students need the light and guidance of God's truth. I hope to share the hope of Jesus of Christ with them through this mission trip.
I could never have envisioned myself joining a mission trip to Cambodia prior to becoming involved with the university campus ministry of Power to Change. Yet, in His grace, God has continually worked in unexpected and wonderful ways, deepening my spiritual growth and allowing me to experience His blessings more fully through opportunities to serve.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9
I long to learn obedience, to follow God’s leading with a surrendered heart and to serve wherever He desires to send me. I’m humbled and excited for the opportunity to join in God’s mission in Cambodia to advance His kingdom. I would appreciate your partnership in this journey, through your prayers and, if you feel led, through financial support. Your generosity will directly help our team bring the gospel to students in Cambodia.
Thank you for your support.
In Jesus' grace,
Joanna
